Each sail is assembled painstakingly by a series of artists and technicians. There is little standardisation. Each vessel is a unique expression of its builders.
The largest sails take decades to manufacture, in some cases waiting to receive auspicious components from decommissioned sails, even from other stars.
New sails traditionally take flight during Dulinedd as the Benthic syndicates, drifting worldwalkers and pelagic initiates return to the towns, dancing and celebrating in moonslight reflected from the shimmering sails above.
